Serving on Sunday

Audiovisual Team and DVD Ministry

This team incorporates the use of lighting, cameras, sound, and PowerPoint to add to the worship experience.Knowledge about these areas is helpful but free training is also provided for those who would like to learn.  Following the morning Worship service DVD copies are made for distribution during the week to those who are unable to be present or have specifically requested a copy.  Questions?  Contact Dave Voges.

Child Care

Individuals are paired to provide child care during the Sunday AM Worship service in the lower level child care room. The Worship service is televised in that room while you interact with the children. Questions? Contact Dian Silvey, Ministry Assistant.

Coffee and Treats

Each Sunday morning treats (cookies, donuts, muffins, etc.) as well as hot beverages and cold drink are provided and served informally following the morning Worship service. Volunteers are scheduled throughout the year and typically are assigned 3-4 Sundays per year. Contact Sharon Lange if you'd like to provide a treat on a Sunday morning.

Communion Preparation

Prepare the elements for communion, which are placed on the altar prior to the service, and clean-up in the sacristy afterwards. You can help by contacting Becky Armstrong.

Greeters

At the morning and evening Sunday Worship services a team of 2-3 people are assigned at the Park Lane and Abbot Road doors to welcome people as they arrive for Worship and answer questions for first time visitors. If you'd like to serve as a greeter, please email the Martin Luther Chapel office.

Ushers

At each Worship service ushers distribute bulletins, insure adequate seating for those with special needs or those arriving after the service has begun, distribute the offering plates during the service, and count those in attendance for the tally sheet provided. If you'd like to volunteer as an usher, contact the Martin Luther Chapel office.
